“Under the photographic enlarger, the orange filter is the middle color to create a medium contrast on multi-grade paper. In preparing this exhibition, I thought back to the mausoleum of Galla Placidia, in Ravenna, and the story of its colors. The interior walls are covered with blue mosaics, the light filtered through the orange alabaster of the windows produces a multitude of colored greys in the space. (…)”
